Korgul's Journal

Well I was arrested again.  This time though it really want any fault of my own.  We didn't make it back to town until after curfew because El'orn and I were attacked by wolves on the way back.  That didn't matter to Dunit though.

Luckily we were able to escape with a few other cell mates.  Unfortunately one of them didn't make it through the mine.  It really is too bad.  She was a pretty gal, and someone with assets like hers are few and far between.

We've decided to follow the river back to La'rina to avoid the main road.  We've been at it for a couple days now, so hopefully we'll make it to town tomorrow.  I'm heading back to return the package I picked up since I wasn't able to make it to my temple.  Hopefully my brothers will understand and can get the package back without too much trouble.

Korgul's Journal

Today I met a fellow by the name of El'orn Dawntrecker on my way back to G'Home. He was nice
enough to share his camp and some food with me.  We have decided to head out together in the morning.  Travel usually goes by faster with company, and with the increasing danger of these woods, it will be good to be have a companion on the trip.

D&D Reflections

I have a confession to make... The detours have to be my favorite part of our podcast in general. If I had my way they would be invariably incorporated into the podcast regardless, but that would result into an almost endless program and that wouldn't be fun. The reason I find the detour portion so much fun is I find people fascinating. I like learning about them, their past, present, and what they want out of a future. Basically, I like to see what makes them tick. More often than not our talk turns to sex, but what are you going to do. That stuff is equally, if not more so, fascinating. The first episode was a little rough for me, partially due to the fact that I take this stuff as more off the cuff and lightheartedly. (Obviously.) Well, that and I wasn't in it until like the last hour. Then there was the fact that I hadn't the slightest clue what I was doing. This is all new territory for me. I have never played a game of 3.5 before so I had to be more involved in the actual process than I'm used to. The second episode was more fun and free because I was getting a basic rhythm. I can understand why so many of my theatre friends have an attraction and preference for this particular edition of D&D. It's very much an open world. There are no limits or boundaries. The very fact that I am a dragon-born cheerleader with a heavy lisp... That's fun. (And I'm having fun when I make people laugh.) The emphasis on this edition is very much on the roleplaying aspect. Although, it is whatever the DM makes of it, honestly. As of right now, (the personal opinion of Josh does not reflect the thoughts and opinions of the group as a whole) I'm curious to see where it goes and where it plays out. As much as I am comfortable in my nerd skin sometimes I feel like I'm too geeky and get uncomfortable. But, I'm not a quitter. Sincerely, Josh Aka "Jerram Varroche" Your Dragonborn Cheerleader
